Tristan & Iseut -Step 1-

Here is now the beginning of a personnal project... school related though. The school, during our placements period, ask us to deal with 10 illustrations on a theme of our own choice... The choice of the subject was very hard to make, and then I ended up going for this one (the other projects, just as much personnal, and actually even more since they will be off-school and so more reflexion time to realize them, will however see the light of day soon!) :

Attempt a bit crazy, since I knew not that much about the history of Japan (or actually not at all!), but this is not the case anymore now anyway... ^^
Anyway, here are the first 4 visuals of the story. There will still be some little things to modify but it already gives an idea! =)
Any thing at one time, the text and the sketches (yeah yeah!) will follow soon...

  1. Aha, nice theme! I absolutely love the last picture, I guess it's needless to say why... :P The ambiance is so calm there, too. I find the first picture very vivid as well, the dragon looks very intimidating. Good work, and good luck for the rest!
